Commander for Administrative Services
COL
David W. Roberts assumed duties as the Deputy Commander for
Administration at Evans Army Community Hospital, Fort Carson, Colorado
in July 2008. Prior to
this assignment, he served as the Regional Strategic Business Planner
and Chief, Program Analysis and Evaluation Branch, TRICARE Regional
Office - South, TRICARE Management Activity, Office of the Assistant
Secretary of Defense for Healthcare Affairs, San Antonio, Texas.
Key assignments included: Deputy Commander for Administration, Task
Force 21 Medical, 3rd Medical Command, Camp Bucca, Iraq: Director,
Resource Management and Chief Financial Officer, Walter Reed Army
Institute of Research, Silver Spring, MD; Battalion Executive Officer,
10th Combat Support Hospital, Fort Carson, CO; Senior Financial Analyst,
Walter Reed Army Medical Center; Commander, Headquarters and
Headquarters Company, 4th Battalion, 6th Infantry (Mechanized), 5th
Infantry Division, Fort Polk, LA. He also served as an enlisted Soldier
and Non-Commissioned Officer with the 82nd Airborne Division, 2nd
Infantry Division, and the United States Army Medical Department
Activity at Fort Bragg, NC.
COL Roberts received his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Bible from
Southeastern University in Lakeland, FL. He holds a Master of Science in
Management from Florida Technical Institute, a Master of Business
Administration and Master of Science in Management from the Daniels
College of Business at the University of Denver. He is a graduate of the
Army Command and General Staff College, Fort Leavenworth, Kansas and
Professional Resource Management Course at Syracuse University. He is a
Certified Healthcare Executive and Fellow of the American College of
Healthcare Executives, a Certified Defense Financial Manager with the
American Society of Military Comptrollers and a Certified Radiological
Technologist (RT) with the American Registry of Radiological
Technologists. He holds memberships in the society of Human Resource
Management, the Association of the United States Army and the American
Legion, Post 170 in Westcliffe, Colorado.
COL Roberts' awards and decorations include the Combat Medical Badge,
two awards of the Bronze Star Medal, eight awards of the Meritorious
Service Medal, the Defense Commendation Medal, eight awards of the Army
Commendation Medal, the Army Achievement Medal, two awards of the Army
Good Conduct Medal, the National Defense Service Medal, the Armed forces
Expeditionary Medal, the Iraqi Campaign Medal, the Global War on
Terrorism Service Medal, the Korean Defense Service Medal, the
Meritorious Outstanding Volunteer Service Medal, the Non-Commissioned
Officer Professional Development Ribbon, the Army Service Ribbon and the
Parachutist Badge. COL Roberts is Distinguished Military Graduate from
the ROTC at Southeastern University and was awarded the Douglas
MacArthur Leadership Award for the 5th Infantry Division at Fort Polk,
LA as a Medical Platoon Leader in 1989. COL Roberts is a member of the
Order of Military Medical Merit.
