Below are some pictures of what cells in whole blood and urine look like under a microscope.

Above is a peripheral smear review field of view. This is what whole blood looks like at 500 times normal magnification. Peripheral smear reviews are performed when Complete Blood Count  or CBC results are out of normal range.

 

Above is what White Blood Cells or WBCs look like in urine at 400 times magnification. WBCs in high concentration in urine can be an indicator of an infection.

Above is what Epithelial cells or EPIs look like in urine at 400 times magnification. EPIs in high concentration in urine can be an indicator of a non-sterile collection.

Above is what bacteria looks like in urine at 400 times magnification. Bacteria in urine can be an indicator of an infection or a non-sterile collection.
