The Department of Pharmacy is made up of a team of dedicated healthcare workers composed of Pharmacists, Pharmacy Technicians, Administrative and Supply Management personnel, and Red Cross Volunteers. This cohesive team is dispersed throughout Evan’s patient care areas providing pharmaceutical services to hospitalized patients and outpatients. The Main and SFCC Pharmacies have a broad array of available medications for your treatment needs. We are able to fill any valid prescription, whether prescribed at Evans or from a civilian provider, for free. If you have a special medication need, please inquire with us about your available options. Our focus is on patient safety, quality, and partnering with you for improved health and well-being through information and education.

Self-Care Medication

The Self-Care Over-The-Counter (OTC) medication program is a benefit available to DoD Beneficiaries at Evans Army Community Hospital.

Q. What is Self-Care?
A. Being an active participant in your own health care.
A. Learning what you can do to take care of yourself and when you should see a doctor.

Q. What is the program?
A. To receive OTC medications you must attend a presentation covering the details of the program and wellness education to ensure OTC medications are used appropriately. The presentation lasts approximately 45 minutes.
A. Once enrolled, you may obtain up to four (4) different medications per family member once per month.
A. Only the Main and SFCC Pharmacies offer the program at this time.

Q. How do I attend the presentation for enrollment?
A. Classes are held at the ACS Community Connections Building on the 2nd and 4th Monday at 0900 on a walk-in basis.
A. Classes are limited to the first 50 people.
A. Only one family member needs to attend the presentation in order to enroll every member of their family.
